Next is a 392 V8 I have sitting in the bed of my 1957 IH S-120 4x4 truck. I will either put a Holley Truck Avenger carb on it or fuel injection with a DUI distributor. I have 33 gal North West Fab fuel tank ready to go. Just about done building front & rear Dana 60's with 35 spline Yukon 4340 shafts, Ox Lockers, and 5.38 gears. I rotated the front axle pinion 25 degrees. Also bought a set of 40x16x17 LTB's.
Fenders cut out...
New 40" LTB's to go in with Dana 60's, Ox Lockers, & 5.38 gears...
Big Sluice
Thanks for the complements. I just finished the low tranny & transfercase swap this weekend and it crawls like a champ. I will have 5.13 gears in my new dana 70 and front 44 soon and will start looking for some bigger tires. (said over 2 years ago by Dan Seiler).
How do you like that TerraLow set in the Dana 20? Do you have it twin sticked as well? I am debating whether doing the 3.15:1 Terra kit in my 20 or trying to find a Scout Dana 300 and do the 4:1 kit. (said over 2 years ago by Rich Nelson).
Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for transfer cases? I currently have the 727TF but I am also considering a T19 wide swap, that must be some awesome crawl with that granny low gear and TerraLow kit! (said over 2 years ago by Rich Nelson).
I am liking the the tera low gears. I really wanted to go with an atlas, but after all of the costs associated with converting it was some seious cash. This was a good alternative and has plenty of crawl and strength for most peoples needs. It is easy to (said over 2 years ago by Dan Seiler).
If you swap to a T19, a granny version is the only way to go and is a better gearing range than the close ratio T19's. (said over 2 years ago by Dan Seiler).
If i could do it over and had the money to spend on driveline mods, i would have looked for a Dana 300 and gotten a 4:1 for it. I think that the low-max kits are about $300 less than the Dana 20 3:15:1 kits. (said over 2 years ago by Dan Seiler).
Dan, thanks for the advice and tips. Props again for an awesome rig! (said over 2 years ago by Rich Nelson).
Hey Rich, am not sure where you live but here is a posting for a T-19/Dana 300 on Sacramento Craigslist, Good price to. http://sacramento.craigslist.org/search/pts?query=scout&minAsk=min&maxAsk=max (said over 2 years ago by Dan Seiler).
Dan, thanks for letting me know, that is a dang good deal for sure, but I am way up in northern Minnesota and shipping would be a killer. (said over 2 years ago by Rich Nelson).
I showed some of my buddies your rig and they all agreed that it is one bad-ass binder! (said over 2 years ago by Rich Nelson).
After reading the "Uber 20" thread in Pirate I am considering building up my Dana 20. If you don't mind me asking where did you get your TeraLow kit, and about what price? (said over 2 years ago by Rich Nelson).
I am having a hard time finding what a good deal. Do you also have yours twin-sticked? Was noticable is the difference going to 3.15:1 in the t-case. Thanks! (said over 2 years ago by Rich Nelson).
Got the Tera Low kit from a guy on craigslist. Got it for just $650, took a good chunk off of the $900 sticker price. If you don't have an auto, try to go with a granny t-19. (said over 2 years ago by Dan Seiler).
I don't have it twinsticked, but after wheeling with it this summer i wish i did. (said over 2 years ago by Dan Seiler).
Wow, maybe I will keep my eyes out for some deals before I jump the gun on that one. Thanks again for the help. (said over 2 years ago by Rich Nelson).
Dan, awesome rig, great action photos. (said over 2 years ago by Rob Gojkovich).

Hey Yuck, you need to post some new Rubicon pics. Not to mention getting those Dana 60's ready to install! (said 5 months ago by Eric Seiler).
Will do Bubba, i don't think i have taken any prep pics of the new stuff but i will throw some on. (said 5 months ago by Dan Seiler).

I think you should go with some 40's or 42's and post some pics up when you do, that would be badass. And nice work, that is a real nice Scout you have. (said over 2 years ago by Rich Nelson).
