Grip it and Rip it, what sheet metal?
Scout purists will think Im a butcher, but here it is. 1978 Scout II, rockwell 2.5 ton axles with 6.72 gears. Lincoln locked rear. Ford 390 FE motor with C6 tranny. Cage in the making along with heavy duty front bumper. Pinion brakes front and rear. 53 inch military tires (1620s).
Ford 390
Detriot lockers front and rear. not much else.
That's unbelievable Chris! How do you get in to that monster and what is the turning radius?? Also what make is your AK, I've got a Yugoslav Zastava. (said over 2 years ago by Rob Gojkovich).
Its a Chicom type56. one of many AKs, but its my favorite. I climb in anyway I can. Turning radius isnt bad at all, considering the Rockwells are closed knuckle. (said over 2 years ago by Chris Meyer).
BAD ASS (said about 1 year ago by Doug).
WTF is up with the lift block/spring perches on the front? (said about 1 year ago by Rich Nelson).
They work. (said about 1 year ago by Chris Meyer).
Yeah thats cool, just seems like there would be some bad axle wrap. I am thinking about using a pair of Rockwells on my Scout, I noticed you have the front diff on the drivers side (said about 1 year ago by Rich Nelson).
Did you rotate the center chunk or just turn the whole axle around and flip the knuckles? How does it steer/track? I heard there is more caster if you flip the axle around. (said about 1 year ago by Rich Nelson).
My other question is, what transfercase are you using in that beast. Must be something pretty stout. (said about 1 year ago by Rich Nelson).
sick, sick, sick. Crazy man love the guns too (said about 1 year ago by chris).
