Its a time portal, taking us back to a better time and a better place
Most of the truck is stock, but I replaced the factory wiring harness with a Ron Francis harness. The next thing I did was put in a electronic ignition, electric wipers, new motor mounts, gauges and poly gas
tanks. All chrome was replated, body was media blasted and painted dodge viper red,and replaced the rusted steel top with a k-line top.
304 v8 ,3 speed,Pertronix ignition,Magnaflow exhaust,
Holly 2 barrel,K&N air cleaner.
The next thing is a custom wood dash
trim piece,center console,door skins,carpet and
"v' emblems.I included photos that show my dash and
door panel ideas, any suggestions are welcome.

Very nice piece of Automotive History. Thank you for sharing it with us all. I have my Granpfathers 63 Model 80. I took my first fishing trip in it and I now have the time for a frame off restoration. I like your suspension height. How many inches? (said over 3 years ago by Marc Canright).
One Tire size are you running? Marc Canright (said over 3 years ago by Marc Canright).
Hi Marc, I have aftermarket shackles that give the Scout about 1'' over the factory height and I'm running 31'' tires. The truck can handle 33's with now problem. (said over 3 years ago by Eric Monse).
this scout is definitely a 5 man, looks like you spent a lot of time on it! its a nice and clean scout. (said over 3 years ago by Jovan).

gorgeous, it's like you could read my mind and raise the funds to build EXACTLY what id love to do to my scout, i bet it makes you look forward to having to drive to the store for a gallon of milk. (said over 2 years ago by Leo Franco).
I agree with Leo. It's what my scout wants to be when it grows up. oh wait... it is what my 80 grew up to be! (said over 2 years ago by Doc G).
That didn't come out right. I meant 80's grew up to be 800's... (said over 2 years ago by Doc G).
This Scout 800 is NAILS ! Did you use Scout II sidelights for your project? (said over 2 years ago by Gordon Thompson).
Gordon,I used Peterson trailer side marker lights for the 800 I could not get nos side markers so I opted for these. You have a sharp eye no one has ever caught that! (said over 2 years ago by Eric Monse).
Eric...thanks for the tip...NOS is pricey if you can find them...unbelievable job on your scout: 5 stars ! (said over 2 years ago by Gordon Thompson).
