Daily Driver

Still running and gets you where you need to go.

Description & Modifiations

304 ci, T-407 Automatic, TC-145 Transfer Case, 3.54 Ratio Front and Rear Dana, Deluxe Exterior and Interior Trim, Russet Interior. Recently replaced original springs. Have a custom fit original carpet replacement from Auto Custom Carpets going in soon.

I bought this vehicle new in September, 1978 from Fred M. Boerner Motor Co. in Huntington Park, California. She has over 350,000 miles. Engine has never been touched. Trany has been rebuilt twice. Have never had any major mechanical problems. Re-painted four years ago. (Fixed the usual rocker panel rust spots) Have replaced starter, wheel bearings, etc. over the years. Has not been restored, just kept in good shape all these years. Used extensively for hunting and fishing. Still goes where I need to go.

Engine

V-304A Gasoline (Has puffed smoke since day one when starting in AM) Most do.

Future Modifications

Replacing Calipers on front. Carpet to be changed out in about two weeks. Plan on touching up some of the little things that have deterioated over the years. Slide window buttons. Window channels, etc. Don't want to replace everything with new parts. Sorta like the personality present in the original parts.

WOW NICE HUNTIN & FISHIN TRUCK!!! KEEP HER FACTORY STOCK (said 8 months ago by Paul Irby).

That's sweet. I'd love to snag a fish'n boat for mine since I live right next to the bay here. Nice truck! (said 8 months ago by Ryan Nelson).

Looks great Dennis--expected golf clubs rather than boat-
It is the best of show for sure.

To have bought mine new, I would've been twelve. Too bad, since the original owner was an elderly lady who parked it for ten years. Man, to be the only owner must be special! Looks great, and I like the way you take care of her. Way to go! (said 7 months ago by Clinton).
