Description & Modifiations

1969 Scout 800A. All done with the restoration. Took about a year and two different sessions to make it happen. This rig is pretty much all new inside and out. Turns heads nonstop! She is mean and wants to rip through anything.

Here's what I had the guys at Anything Scout do to it:

-LQ9 Turn Key motor package
-TH 350 automatic transmission
-Custom duel Flowmaster exhaust
-Aluminum radiator with auto trans cooler and duel electric fan setup
-Custom center mounted Scout II fuel tank
-Scout II dana 44 front and rear axles with Anything Scout SOA kit
-5" HD shackle kit
-Tom Wood's Custom Drive Shafts front and rear
-Hydraboost brake system (recent upgrade)
-Rear disk brake conversion (recent upgrade)
-Scout II power steering kit
-New Borgeson steering joint
-Flaming River stainless steel steering column
-New 13 circuit wire harness
-Autometer Gauges
-Duel optima battery setup with a power gate (mounted in fuel tank saddle spaces)
-Custom Stainless steal dash
-Custom 6 point roll cage tied into the frame (still removable) powder coated black
-Workman front bumper
-Baseline rear bumper
-Warn Power Plant Duel Force 9.5k winch (recent upgrade)
-8" KC Rally 800 offroad lights (recent upgrade)
-Custom stainless steel skid plate (not sure I like it, we might just cut that back off) (recent upgrade)
-Scorpion spray in bedliner interior
-Bestop front and rear seats
-3 point front seat belts
-Tuffy lock box console
-Custom integrated speaker boxes in the front, rear, and roll cage
-JL audio marine speakers: 4 8" speakers and 2 6" driven by 500W JL audio marine amp
-Phosphate 10" marine subs driven by JL audio 250W marine amp
-Summit Racing 12,000 btu heater (mounted under dash) (recent upgrade)
-Powder coated rims black
-Sandblasted and painted the frame with por15
-Fixed all the rust and dents and cut the rear wheel wells
-Custom two stage matte black paint job
-Scorpion lined hard top inside and out (for cold weather driving)(recent upgrade)

LQ9 package by Turn Key- V8 400 horse, Vortec 6.0. Brand spankin new!

Future Modifications

Drive it! I went with a hard top instead of the soft top and the doors are done.

By the look of the transfer case adapter on the Turbo 350 I would assume an IH Dana 20 or Dana 300. Can't miss that good old Texas pattern. (said over 4 years ago by Kragen).
