Still running and gets you where you need to go.
1967 Scout with 266 v8, 4speed, D44 with limited slip in rear, and d30 in front, full top, 4700 lb. GVW.
This is a stock unit no rust and when I went hunting with a buddy and his jeep and found myself at the top of the hill tring to encourage him to, try it again!
Thats when I fell in love, not only could it climb but I dont have the same'o' same'o'.
Sooooo munch fun!!!!!!
Papaneil.
Update;6-1-10
Rebuilt the 266,money well spent, now starts and runs Grrrreat!!!!!
266 stock, and on 6-1-10 I started the now rebuilt motor.
Looks as good as it runs.
I am going to install front d44 with upgraded brakes and SOA so 35" tires fit, but if 33" fits better thats good, dont want to get to tall, some nice seats and full roll cage.
Small cam 4 bl. and headers with dual exaust, and when this engine goes a 304 with the above on it.
I am not munch on buying and just bolting on, I will make my own custom bumpers and and any other fab needed, so when I out climb that jeep again, and again I can say I did it with 100 dollars insted of a 1000 dollars and no pride.

Good looking Scout, the same kind my dad had when I was really young (around 2 or 3 years old). Did you make it though that mud hole? (said over 3 years ago by Edward J. Lobrigo).
Try d and c extreme out of Colorado springs they've got some really good stuff for scouts (said over 2 years ago by Chris Gambill).
Cool Scout - one of the few with the 80's style GM sideview mirrors that sit horizontally! We used to hunt dove and pheasants around Pixley 30+ years ago. (said over 2 years ago by Mike Allegretti).
Hey, we know that Hollister Mud Hole! Are you interested in selling your Scout? We're looking to buy one and we're local! (said about 1 year ago by StillScouting).
