Its a time portal, taking us back to a better time and a better place
345 2bbl, 727, Dana 20 on Dana 44's. New tires and brakes. Runs and drives pretty good, needs body mounts and springs/bushings. No mods yet just working on getting reliability. Rear cargo floor rusted out. Front fenders major dents, not too much rust. Doors and rear quarters good. Roof at bottom is rusted through in a few place. Little by little. Came with spare 345. Speedo doesn't work so I don't know mileage. Odometer show 149493.
Installed new Holley 0-7448 carburetor and now it runs really good. From 1400 feet to almost 7000 feet and ran perfect. Finally got around to installing the Body Mounts and new Speedo Cable.
345 misses a little, cold blooded, carb stumbles when cold(2210). Scout runs perfect with the new Carb. Actually hasn't used oil since I bought it in Feb. 2010. Installed front drive line U joints this August. Found out front axle is a Dana 30 not 44 as I was told. Typical PO stuff. Resealed Valley Pan and Intake Manifold. Installed new Exhaust Gaskets.
Freshen up spare engine (it has electronic ignition), reseal transfer case. Needs front driveline U joints.
Transmission doesn't leak and shifts real good/firm. Pull the top and tackle the rear cargo floor and front fenders. Skyjacker 4" softride upgrade with 1" body lift. Not sure how big of tires yet. No plans for SOA, want to keep the body as stock as possible. UPDATE,gave RonBgone at Bay Area Binder Society the 304 I had for a spare. He suffered a catastrophic valve train failure and needed an engine for his 800 Daily driver.
