Barn Find

This suckers been sitting for a while.

Description & Modifiations

1979 Scout II - got it from a fella up near Dhalonega, GA. I bought it spring of 2007. It still had almost all original parts, not modifications. Missing a few nuts and bolts as well as the spare tire latch. Still has the original blue paint and you can see the original stencil design running down the side.

No modifications yet, just basic part replacement. Replaced entire brake system and put in a new water pump and power steering pump.

I wish I could do the labor myself, but I have to keep the truck at home, which is about 200 miles from where I go to school, so I have it up at Mullin's Auto right now.

Engine

Stock 345 V8 - nothing fancy...yet

Future Modifications

Most of the mechanical issues are worked out. Could be looking for a new carburetor soon though. Next biggest issue is finding new sheet metal and taking care of the rust.
