Still running and gets you where you need to go.

Description & Modifiations

This truck is great. I bought in 2005 and swapped the motor and transmission out. It had an AMC 232 with a T-18 three speed. Now it has an AMC 258 with a T19.

During a drive from California to Iowa the clutch stayed engaged -- that made for a fun 1,000 miles. Right now the tranny and t-case are laying on my garage floor and I am awaiting a new clutch from Superior Friction.

Engine

AMC 258, love it!

Future Modifications

I'd like to get a top!

Also I am thinking about placing some anything scout bumpers on my truck

That was my old 71 & 1/2. Never had a top and loved that 232! I made the shackle on the back from a piece at my shop, that is one way i new it was mine. Also the old broken radio mount on the rigth rear. Had the old Big steering wheel! I can't believe you (said over 4 years ago by Jeff).
